"I'm as bored as [the fans] are," Denny Hamlin said when the race ended. "It could be 15 laps, and you would have a better show than it was at 188 [laps]."

Yes there are things at Talladega that need fixed. But the Chase is already "fixed". Superbore has made history again! Where have you folks been?

One way to improve the Chase would be to drop Dega from it. Or at least move it up a few weeks.

I love all the random hate over plate racing an the talladega track, but if Ryan Newman and Mark Martin flipped again at Texas sunday. I don't think anyone would say tear down the banking or drop it from the schedule.

It's just like Joey Logano when he flipped at Dover. I didn't hear anyone say that Dover should be dropped or changed.

Could it be that flips at Texas and Dover are as rare as a Danica win?

restrictor place racing has been falling on deaf ears since 1988 from top to bottom and every where in between. NASCAR DOES NOT CARE! Its abour ratings not safety. Thats the bottom line

The drivers need a spokesman with a set who aint afraid of Brian France. This was far from the only instance Earnhardt expressed his dismay of plate racing. He also said that the banking should be bull dozed! Perhaps that one other thread is right. Perhaps nascar isnt for me anymore. Drivers have lost their diginity and Brian France aka nascar has lost their respect for the drivers

That's a good start. I actually don't mind an occasional 200 mph demolition derby earlier in the season, but take it out of the chase. I'd even prefer not to see it within 10 races of the chase. Plate races should have no signifigance on who wins the championship. They're riding in packs regardless of plate size so slowing them down isn't a problem with me, but at least let them bump draft the turns so we don't fall asleep and miss the real action at the end.

It doesn't make any difference whether you have a chase or not right now. It's no accident Johnson/Knaus win the chase, and it would be no accident when they win 7 of the last 10 races in the old format. When you have a team as dominant as them, there are no fixes. Nascar just needs to wait them out.
