While Poston makes some good points in this blog, he can only blame himself if people just consider this a biased defensive attack. Look at his blog "responding" to Dustin Long's round table discussion with Larry Mac, Kyle Petty and Spencer for the reason why.

Just sickening.
>>>Article here<<<
When you have to send your PR team out the day after a race to criticize the viewers and broadcasters who BTW( are just reporting what they see going on) you obviously have a real problem. But hey at least their PR people have good job security. They will still have their spin jobs explaining away everything while their coworkers down the hall taking calls for tickets and mailing out the tickets get laid off due to lack of calls to buy tickets

The Xgames on ESPN draws more fans than NASCAR now, you know why? Because guys on skateboards, motorcycles and bicycles are out there risking their life doing double backflips and so many other tricks. This was the way Nascar was in the early days up until the late 90's. Whether you like it or not people are there to see Ryan Newman crashes. They are there to see daredevils. They are not there for the personalities. Lots of these guys don't have much star factor in them. Dale Earnhardt was different, he was a man's man. He was the type of guy you wanted to go fishing and hunting with. That's why he had the fans (pretty good driver too). Today the closest your going to get too that is Tony Stewart and he's became a yes man to Nascar now. CoT, Chase and many other things have become a joke, it's politically correct racing. It won't last long. Raising the fences good idea. The rest is wrong.

LOL Only if he had mentioned Dale eating sardines out of a can with Childress on the side of a mountain in Montana.

Instead of attacking why don't you tell us what you want? You want politically correct racing? The numbers don't lie, no ones watching anymore, no ones going to these races. How much more proof do I need. Where's your argument for this new Nascar (which is what it is). I was a big fan until this CoT, Chase and other BS ruined everything. Whoevers at the top making decisions needs a new job... do ya here me Brian France, Mike Helton and others.

I read your post above several times and I am still rather perplexed as to what you are getting at? Straight forward bluntly what is your point? I for one dont think fans want to see wrecks and death. I think fad fans want to see wrecks and death. They are the ones leaving in droves. The sad part is, nascar is trying to chase(no pun intended) after the fad fans on their way out the door

It's not fad fans. I don't go to races to see wrecks and death. I go to see racing. Not professional wrestling. You do know that Nascar told Brad Kesolowski to back off when he was running third during a chase race recently don't you? It's become glamour and soap opera drama. Does that clarify.

I've posted my views all over the pages of these threads. regurgitating it for you doesn't interest me. read around the boards now and then.

I really don't know what politically correct racing is. Tony is an owner now.. of course he's going to act like less of an ass. It doesn't mean he's a yes man, it means he wants NASCAR to listen when he talks. In order to command respect, you have to act with respect. Basic fundamentals of leadership.

as for the Communism statement.. they are the sanctioning body.. it's their sandbox.. all sanctioning bodies in racing act like that.
